The Teachers College Columbia University, on their Heads of School Program, are committed to recognizing
outstanding principals and providing them with opportunities for professional, intellectual and personal growth.
Their goal is to strengthen the educational system by investing in its most effective school leaders.
Columbia University wanted to do something to recognize excellence in education with the belief that, in recognizing
and supporting excellence, they can help an entire system to rise. It is the only program of its kind that has been
specifically designed to support the growth of exemplary school leaders.
The goal is that through intensive study and collaboration, the heads of 20 schools would have a remarkable
experience that leaves them with renewed vision, passion and energy to lead their school.
Each year, 20 heads of schools from around the world participate in the Heads of Schools program at Columbia
University's Teachers College. This year, Ms. Kathleen was selected as one of the 20 fellows to participate in this
program, and she returned refreshed and empowered to lead the school to the vanguard.
