Independence Day

The civic moment of CAS – an Independence theme - was held on September 13,
2019. It was a day full of representative colors of the homeland and live marimba
music performed by students. There was also a folk dance and the sale of typical food
by the moms of students of different grades.
This activity was very beautiful and creative,
particularly because all the students dressed in
traditional costumes or painted the flag of
Guatemala on their faces. The school should
always celebrate independence because it is a very
important date in Guatemala.
The sale of food was a success. There were different
types of typical food, for example, chuchitos, mole,
rellenitos, tortilla toasts and more. The funds are
destined to buy a new marimba for the school.
Ms. Marina Vives had the honor of raising the flag this
year.
